Network engineering · Consulting & products

Networks, engineered and secured — and the tools that make them easier to run.

Every network is a weave: physical links and logical policies crossing each other thousands of times. We design, secure and operate that weave for enterprises and data centers, and we build the software we always wished we had on the job: Day2Fabric for the logical layer, FiberFrame for the physical layer.

What we do

Consulting, from cable to policy

Enterprise network engineering with a strong data center focus: engineering work, explained clearly and delivered end to end.

Assessment & Advisory

A clear picture of your network and its security, risk and capacity analysis, architectural choices. The outcome is a concrete plan you can decide on, not a 200-page PDF.

System Integration

Design and build: campus, WAN, data center, security and wireless. From drawing board to production, migrations included.

Support

Ongoing support for the environments we build and the ones we inherit: change management, infrastructure evolution, agreed on-call coverage.

Training

Hands-on training for your team: networking, security, operations. The goal is autonomy, on our tools or on yours.

Our products

Software born on the job

Both products come from the same place: years of consulting on networks where the documentation lived in spreadsheets and the knowledge in one person's head.

DAY2FABRIC Live

Your Cisco ACI fabric, finally under control.

A self-hosted control plane on top of APIC: design changes, verify they're safe, deploy them and operate the fabric — with every ACI concept explained in plain words, so the whole team can work, not just the one expert.

  • Policy Verifier — answers “can A talk to B?” the way the fabric actually decides
  • Bulk config & rollback — diff preview, approval step, clean rollback
  • Capacity planning — real port headroom per leaf and vPC pair
  • Simulated Fabric Mode — demo and train without touching an APIC

Containerized: Docker Compose — or Kubernetes with the Enterprise bundle.

FIBERFRAME In development

Your campus cabling, finally under control.

Cable plant management for enterprise campuses and data centers: an interactive CAD map of fiber and copper links across buildings, floors and rooms, a strand-level panel view, error-proof circuit reservation and SNMP verification of switch ports. On-premise, with SSO and full audit.

  • Multi-building CAD map — PDF/DWG/DXF floor plans, campus-to-room drill-down
  • Strand-level panel view — status-colored positions, LC/SC/ST/MPO, RJ45
  • Error-proof circuits — guided wizard, atomic reservations, approval flow
  • SNMP switch assurance — port state, speed, transceivers

On-premise via containers, air-gapped environments supported.

How we work

Three things we actually believe

Tools born from real work

Day2Fabric and FiberFrame weren't designed on a whiteboard. They exist because we kept hitting the same walls in real projects, and got tired of them.

Complex networking, made accessible

A fabric shouldn't depend on the one person who understands it. We explain, document and build guardrails so the whole team can work with confidence.

Vendor honesty

We tell you what's available today, what's on the roadmap and what you don't need. And if your problem can be solved with something simpler and cheaper than you had in mind, we'll be the first to say so.

Who's behind it

The people who design networks also build the tools

Trama Networks grew out of the experience of Filippo De Zordi, a network and security engineer with 12+ years across finance, telco, manufacturing and energy: senior network architect roles, cloud and infrastructure consulting for large enterprises, technical lead on international programs. Around that base, the company is building a team of specialists, with one simple goal: grow without lowering the technical bar.

The thread is always the same: complex enterprise networks (routing & switching, security, ACI fabrics including Multi-Pod, wireless, cloud) designed, secured and kept running. Trama Networks brings that experience and the products built along the way under one roof.

Questions, answered

The things people ask first

Who actually does the work?

Engineers, from the first call to delivery: the person who answers is the person who designs, with no sales layer in between. On larger projects the work is split across the right specialists per domain, and you always know who does what.

Are the products available today?

Day2Fabric is live: you can book a demo on a realistic simulated fabric at day2fabric.com. FiberFrame is in active development: if cable plant management is a pain for you, ask for early access and help shape it.

Do you only work on Cisco?

Cisco is the core, especially ACI and data center. We also work with Palo Alto and Fortinet on the security side. If your problem is better solved with something else, we'll say so.

Where do you operate?

Based in Italy, working on-site across the country and remotely elsewhere. Everything we produce, documentation included, is available in English or Italian.
